Nationwide Grant Opportunities

 

Toshiba America Foundation

Purpose: Grants to USA sixth through twelfth-grade teachers at public and nonprofit private schools to enhance science, technology, engineering, and math learning. Funding is intended to increase student success-rates by introducing creative project-based learning ideas that will make STEM learning fun.
Grant Amount: $5,000

DiscoverE

Purpose: Grants of up to $1,000 to USA nonprofit organizations for educational engineering activities and events for youth. Priority will be given to events, programs, and activities geared toward underserved K-12 students. Funding is intended to provide hands-on learning experiences that inspire an interest and understanding of engineering and take place in or around Engineers Week.
Grant Amount: $1,000

Regional Grant Opportunities

 

Stocker Foundation

Purpose: Grants to nonprofit organizations in multiple states to improve the academic performance of PreK-8 public school students in eligible counties. Funding is intended to upgrade educational practices and introduce STEAM learning programs.
Region: California – Alameda and San Francisco Counties
Grant Amount: varies
Deadline: December 31, 2020

Sunwest Bank Charitable Foundation

Purpose: Grants to California nonprofit organizations for programs that support vulnerable families and children, and provide basic needs such as housing, food, education, healthcare, and safety.
Region: California
Grant Amount: up to $20,000

AMPED, Kids in the Game

Purpose: In-kind grants of youth exercise equipment to schools or an exercise program that encourages children to be active. Interested applicants are required to register as “active schools” prior to applying. The equipment is intended to be used to implement a morning walking/running exercise program designed by the funding source. Each tool kit includes bands, charms, tracking system, sound systems, ropes, and other apparatus.
Region: Northern California & Atlanta, Georgia

Philanthropic Ventures Foundation

Purpose: Grants of up to $500 to California K-12 teachers in public schools serving low-income populations. Funding is intended to provide materials that will enhance classroom instruction in life sciences and chemistry.
Region: Alameda, San Francisco, San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties
Grant Amount: $500
Deadline: first come, first serve
