Administrative & Accounts Payable Specialist – Nashville

Currently, we provide services to over 300 charter school clients, many of them located in low-income, high-needs areas and/or with high English Language Learner populations. We are seeking an Administrative & Accounts Payable Specialist who will share our enthusiasm to support these schools with high-value services, so the school leaders may focus their attention where it matters most – on providing an excellent education for their students. Ideal candidates will have an entrepreneurial approach, be a self-starter, and have comfort with fast-growing organizations.


This role will be 50% Administrative Support and 50% Accounts Payable.


Ability to work late (until 7:00 PM) on Fridays is preferred though not required.


Accounts Payable Specialist (50% time) Responsibilities:
• Work closely with school administrators/management and EdTec staff (payroll, CPA’s, senior management, and client account management).
• Specialist will review coding, enter invoices into accounting software, generate reports and perform quality control while maintaining strong relationships with schools for about 7 – 8 Charter Schools.


Administrative Specialist (50% time) Responsibilities:
• Working closely with EdTec staff, school administration and charter school governing boards in assisting with the preparation for and organization of monthly board meetings
• Order office supplies
• Help to coordinate office social activities (Happy Hours, Birthday parties, Holiday party)


Minimum Qualifcations:

• 1-3 years accounts payable experience
• 1-3 years administrative support experience
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and follow directions
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Energy, enthusiasm, strong organizational skills, attention to detail and a commitment to client service
